Six months to create lasting impact while graduating from university

In the TUM Entrepreneurial Masterclass, outstanding entrepreneurial students from all disciplines dedicate their master thesis to what they are truly passionate about. While graduating with an excellent academic work, they pursue their entrepreneurial ambitions and create a direct positive impact for society. The academic supervision remains based at the students’ own faculty or school from which they obtain their corresponding master’s degree.
During the six-month program, participants are in close exchange with each other, shape the lively community themselves and are actively supported in their individual aspirations. The scientific and methodological supervision and support of entrepreneurial endeavors is ensured by a management team of doctoral researchers at TUM.
Members of the Masterclass are fully integrated in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of TUM and UnternehmerTUM. They get access to working spaces at the Munich Urban Colab, exclusive events and seminars, outstanding mentors, cutting-edge infrastructure, inspiring partners worldwide and a lifelong, constantly growing network of committed alumni.
The startup support provided by TUM and UnternehmerTUM remains available to Masterclass graduates even after they have completed their thesis.

Three tracks
A broad range of entrepreneurial endeavors can be the pursued in the Masterclass: Be it one’s own start-up, an improvement of founder support within the ecosystem or the joint solution of given challenges in a team. In all these areas, research questions arise whose scientific investigation and practical transfer not only make a contribution to academia, but also create an immediate real added value.
Startup creation track
Direct contribution to the development of one’s own startup. Implementation channel for scientific findings and possible spin-offs at the chairs of TUM.
Entrepreneurship support track
Improvement of the start-up infrastructure and support in TUM’s ecosystem.
Tech venture challenge track
Four Taskforces
The Masterclass lives from the initative and creativity of its members. Every fellow shapes the program by engaging in one of four taskforces. These minimum individual efforts add up, allowing the Masterclass to flourish and ensuring the program to remain close to the fellows needs and interests.
Academy
Knowledge management and further development of contents and curriculum.
Community
Creating and maintaining a vibrant, trustful and highly supportive community of fellows and alumni.
Public Relations
Spreading the word in various media channels about the program as such as well as its exciting fellows, alumni and supporters.
